Hello Charleston!

Just got back from a rush trip to Charleston, SC and Charlotte, NC. Went down to do a little painting, and try to create a relationship with a gallery in Charleston. I am extremely happy to announce that I'll be represented down there by Wells Gallery, 125 Meeting Street, in Historic Charleston. More to come soon!

A few more pics

Here are a few more pics done over the past several months. Just got them off of my camera card. Hope to post a few watercolors at some point. They are my new passion, but I have a terribly long way to go to become competent at them. So different than oils!

A New Chapter: Paintings in Beaufort Studio, for now.

Went and picked up work from Gallery C this past week. After a great eight years with them, I feel it is time to try something a little different. I will no longer have paintings in the gallery, but we will continue to work together on projects and commissions in the future. I wish nothing but the best for Gallery C for all it has done for me over our time together. Here are a few paintings that I brought back. They will be in my Beaufort, NC studio for a few days, then it's off to Charleston with some of them. My website has the pics with titles and dimensions.

Jumping in head first

So, I'm starting a blog. I am an oil painter living on the coast of North Carolina, and have a website www.jimmycraigwomble.com that some can't seem to open, so this is just another venue to show some of my work and perhaps write a little on my thought processes and motivations while painting out on site and in my studio. There could also just be some random junk thrown in as well, who knows... we'll just wait and see what exactly comes from this little experiment.
